Solo Con Event
Solo Con Solothurn Convention: A Fun-Filled Event for All Ages 25

Solo Con is a convention that tries to focus on you, the individual. If you are not into cosplay or long queues for autographs, this might be perfect for you.

The event has smaller activities like game shows and Q&A’s with celebrities but also more interesting content like training on making epic motion pictures or writing your own Steampunk story.

The event gives you a chance to meet interesting people and has a geeky time without the pressure of being judged by friends, family or strangers. There’s no expectation of being part of a group so you can enjoy the activities at your own pace.

A lot of people are traveling by themselves or are there with only one friend, which means that solo cons are perfect for making new friends.

Since there are no real queues, you might want to settle down for some autographs.

After all, they are free, don’t require any camping, and if you hit the jackpot, maybe an idol of your choice would even sign one of your body parts. It feels quite funny standing behind somebody with his name on my butt cheek, but it got signed.

Tips for Attending Solo Con

Attendees can look forward to meeting some of their favorite voice actors and cosplayers, as well as checking out some amazing exhibits and panels. Here are some tips for making the most out of your Solo Con experience:

Get Your Badge Early

Solo Con is a one-day convention, so we advise all attendees to be prepared and get their badges as early as possible. By getting your badge early, you will have more time to explore the exhibits and vendor booths before the convention starts.

Bring Plenty of Cash

If there’s one thing that anime conventions are known for, it’s the amount of merchandise being sold. There are plenty of vendors at Solo Con with exclusive items you can’t find anywhere else.

The earlier you get your badge, the more opportunity you have to find awesome deals on figurines and other anime memorabilia.

Cosplay Early and Often

Cosplaying at any convention is the best way to make friends, and Solo Con is no exception. We advise all cosplayers to get their costumes ready before arriving for the day. You can show off your costume in our contest or just have fun running around with other friendly cosplayers.

Bring Friends

Solo Con is a great place to meet new friends who share similar interests, so don’t be afraid of showing up at the convention alone. Just like any good anime convention, Solo Con will be full of kind people who are excited to bring more attendees into the fandom.

Explore Your Interests

Solo Con is a great place to discover new and exciting interests. There will be plenty of panels and workshops throughout the day, so take some time out from exploring to check out what’s going on.

We have an amazing event planned for this year, including several fan panels hosted by attendees, so don’t miss it!

Pace Yourself

It’s easy to get too caught up in the excitement of an anime convention and forget to take a break. There are plenty of fun events happening all day at Solo Con, so we advise taking things slow and not trying to do everything at once.

You’ll be surprised how much more you can explore if you just give yourself time to relax in between panels.

Have Fun

Anime conventions are like no other, and Solo Con is the perfect way to get your anime fix for one day only. We hope you enjoy your day and make sure to tell all your friends about this great event.

Advice on What to Pack for Solo Con

Solo Con is coming up, and you are still unsure of what to pack. You have heard the horror stories of the crazy people, so you want to be prepared for anything-whether it’s a need for more clothes, food or toiletries.

Here are some packing essentials that will help you survive your solo adventure:

Packing Cubes

One of the best things you can do to stay organized while packing is to bring some packing cubes. They are a lot more convenient than trying to clip your clothes into plastic bags or throwing them all in one big pile. This Japanese invention will help you not only pack but also find items quickly and easily.

Portable Charger

Your new family and friends at Solo Con tend to take up a lot of your time, so your phone will probably be dead by the time you need it most-like after a full day of panels, artists alley and the dealer’s room.

A portable charger will save you from being stranded in an unknown area. You can even use it to charge your phone or other electronic devices during the convention.

Snacks and Water

This one is a given. You don’t want to get all hyped up before a panel, only to pass out in the middle of it because you haven’t eaten in hours. The dealer’s room usually doesn’t have much food or water, so purchase it before you enter.

Toiletries

This one is for the ladies, but guys can use this advice too-bring toilet paper. The bathrooms at convention centers are not designed for the sheer amount of people that use them during a convention, so using toilet paper after everyone has used it can be gross and disgusting.

First Aid Kit

There’s no way to know if someone has a medical emergency, but you can be prepared for it. Bring some band-aids and Neosporin, just in case. A Band-Aid will not only cover up that cut on your hand from opening your newly purchased manga volume but also make you feel better.

Portable fan

Solo Con is held inside, which can be hot and sometimes uncomfortable-especially if you are wearing a costume. A portable fan will help cool you down during those long days of walking around the convention center.

Plus, it’s small enough to fit in your purse or bag, so no one will notice that you’re fanning yourself. If you’re looking for an enjoyable convention that caters to all interests, we would highly recommend checking out Solo Con.
